When we were done with all the action and it was approaching evening, it was really nice to find a communal BBQ going on back at the beach and we were warmly invited to join in.

On the final day of our holiday, I also surprised my husband with a lesson in quad biking as it was his birthday and I knew it was something he always wanted a shot at. He loved it of course and is simply pining to return for another stab at the action!

I am so glad to have shared this experience with my kids. I’m now making up for the lack of travel that occurred in my youth and have made sure that my children know how privileged they are to have experienced such a wonderful time on this Mauritius holidays. They never wanted to leave!
